Last Wednesday we welcomed Vaginal Davis to Voo Store for the launch of Autre Magazine’s SS25 issue, with Davis on the cover, naturally. A pioneer of queer punk and radical performance, she has spent decades challenging categories and reshaping culture with humour, style and intent.
Titled ‘Desire’, the issue turns its attention to longing, transformation and rebellion. Inside, artists, writers and musicians explore the strange and sensual forces that shape what we want and what we become.
Davis arrived in a red turban and light summer layers. She specifically requested a ventilator. Air kisses were sent out freely, and she spoke with guests between signatures. People moved in and out, picked up their issues and stayed longer than planned.
