We have been working with UdK Berlin for almost 4 years, and now we are excited to announce On as a valuable addition to this project.
To kick things off in January, On Labs Zurich hosted four alumni from the Fashion Design program at University of Arts Berlin (UdK) over two days. Laurin Stecher, Denise Kipke, Sezgin Kivrim, and Essie Kramer enjoyed full creative freedom in crafting designs from archived and leftover On stock, primarily key performance running pieces. Instead of focusing on short-lived trends, the collection prioritises circularity in the design process and final items.
Voo Space was designed to recreate the atmosphere of the On Labs studio, incorporating key elements from the headquarters in Switzerland and bringing it to Berlin.
In conjunction with the Berlin Half Marathon last weekend, we organised activities as well as community runs on Thursday evening and Saturday morning, followed by fuel-ups and refreshments from VooDeli. Similar to the students, visitors at the pop-up had the opportunity to tap into their creativity and design their own multipurpose bandanas: Wrapped around the neck or hair, providing protection from air and sweat while running, ensuring optimal gear for future movement activities.
The Capsule Collection, comprising footwear and apparel, will be available for purchase at VooSpace from April 3rd to April 9th, 2024, as well as on www.vooberlin.com. Revenue from each sale will be donated to Champions Ohne Grenzen, a Right To Run partner, and Berlin-based charity making sports accessible to refugees in Germany.
