The visual style of the project, characterised by intense colour and a phosphorescent glow reminiscent of a dancefloor, is immediately recognisable from McConnell’s body of work. Equally familiar are the techniques used, such as double-exposure and blurred outlines, like flashes from a rave. The project draws inspiration from McConnell’s series ‘PRESENCE’ (2017–2019), which explores youthful bodies and vibrant colour.
The exhibition will run at Voo Space from 26.04.2024 until 29.04.2024, 11am to 7pm (Sunday 12pm to 6pm). Oranienstraße 24, 10999 Berlin, Germany.
