HOKA was founded in 2009 by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard. The two wanted to create low-profile and max-cushion shoes for road, trail, and all-terrain. Most importantly their goal was to make running easier which they’ve achieved with popular silhouettes such as the Bondi and Clifton and the trail and hiking favourite Tor. HOKA does not shy away from collaborating with other brands such as Engineered Garments.
